Echeverria with pups (hen & chick)

$55.00

Mature chick and hen echeverria plant. Turquoise color with bright orange flowers. Tolerates light frost, will multiply quickly (this plant will fill it’s pot with babies within a 12 month period). Flowers are prone to getting aphids in spring, remove flowers altogether if infected, or treat with neem, ladybug beneficial predators, or manually spray them off with water or hands. In summer, outer leaves tend to dry up and start dying off in a rust color, a signal that the plant needs more water. If too wet or given too much nitrogen food, this plant will get mealy bugs. Ensure a mixed soil of potting soil and sand (sand will keep it from getting too moist and soggy). Keep somewhat protected from cold winds, as it prefers warmer nooks.
